Went to Mission Q with my friends from GAB last friday. They invited me along and I agreed without hesitation because I wanted to give it a try for long but doesn't know who to invite lol. Anyway, some of you might not heard about it so a brief introduction will be given below.
What is Mission Q?
It's an escape game where you have to find clues, solve puzzles and unlock the doors within an hour in order to escape physically from the room. This game require observation, teamwork and courage. There are 5 unique adventurous rooms with different themes.
What are the rooms?
Among all the rooms, the difficulty level ranged from 2 stars to 5 stars. All the rooms are designed for 4-6 players except for Room 5: Memento which only require 2 players.
How much is it?
For non students, it be Rm30/person. As for student, there be student price which is Rm25/person for a game.
My experience:
In our team, almost all of us are new to this game except for Nick. They even choose the hardest which is Room 4: Missing Corpse (difficulty level: 5 stars). We did expect that we will lose cause according to Nick, his team managed to escape the room at 50 minutes but their room were Room 1: Prison Break (difficulty level: 3 stars).
Our personal belongings were kept at their lockers and we were given time to visit the washroom before entering the game room. After that, the game master will explain the rules and regulation. In each room, there's a "Help" bell to ring the game master for clues and guidance but only for once.
In a room, there's 3 doors and 7 puzzles to be solve in an hour. Unfortunately, we failed to escaped from it as we were stucked at the fifth puzzles but but we were so close as game master said we actually completed 80% of the game (dammit)! Since we were close towards the end, game master reveal the answer for it and lead us till the last puzzle solved. After that, all of us were so down because the last two puzzles were so easy! Actually when we were stucked at the fifth puzzle, we can foresee the sixth puzzle.
After the game, there be props provided for photography session as our memories. We were rewarded with a group picture of us in an instax film where we can either bring it back or paste it there. If your team are good, your group photo will be at the Wall of Fame. The best record for our game is 22 minutes! That's fast!
Although Mission Q isn't really my type of game because I don't think I contribute any (lol!) but indeed it was a fun experience tho I admit its kinda pricey for a game but believe me you won't regret as it worth every single ringgit you spent. It be even awesome when you are with a bunch of jokers (like mine)! Can you imagine half way through the game, we actually get complained by the game master for being too noisy lol!
Side note: Although the room are dark and surrounded with creepy sound effect but no worry there won't be anyone jumping out and scare your ass out. It ain't a haunted house. Advise to wear long pant especially when you're a clumsy person as you may get hurt by accidentally knock against something since its dark inside, which happens to me -.-
Anyhow, I'm really impressed with the person who came up with this escape game *thumbs up for you*
