Ho Chi Minh Trip (11th of March - 14th of March 2014)
Our very first trip out of Malaysia. This was our first time to Ho Chi Minh City or also known as Saigon. To be honest, this was the most tiring trip ever because half of our trip, we were attached to day tours.

Our stay
We selected Ruby River Hotel due to recommendation from my friend - Hayden who had been to Saigon couple of months ahead of us.

Exterior of the hotel
Upon arrival, we were served with welcome drinks
Our Superior Double Room
What I loved most was their buffet breakfast!

We booked our hotel through agoda with the price roughly around Rm560+ for 4 days 3 night. Yes. For the price we paid, it might not be that budget but its worth for their service, clean room, awesome buffet breakfast, central location (tourist attractions were within walking distance), friendly and most important english speaking staffs.

Places where we left our footprint

You can purchase a post card and delivery to your friends back in your country but of course you need to purchase the stamp as well. I did receive the one bf sent to me but the one I sent to him was out of sign. Damn must be the postman who steal it lol

Get to try this which I couldn't recall what is it haha!

Hats on! Sorry that I look weird here haha! Haven master the skill of using my camera to selfie
Love this shot

Traffic jam lol

Visited a factory where they produce the famous coconut candy
Lunch provided. Better than expected lol
Rest like a local

8. Cu Chi Tunnel

Half day tour: 240,000 VND include entrance fee which is 90, 000 VND

Our tour guide of the day

Bf giving a shot

Couldn't imagine those days there's people with such small and huge foot!
Call me King Kong? lol

Manage to take a shot inside of the tunnel! Woohoo! lol

Bf brought this back @@"

Personally, I prefer Cu Chi Tunnel over Mekong as Cu Chi is way interesting where I get to know the past history of war and truly amazed by Vietnamese invention those days. They may seems simple but definitely brilliant! As for Mekong, its quite boring. Nothing much over there other than just enjoying the laid back day trip. Therefore, would really recommend Cu Chi over Mekong but if you have time, you can experience both!

Food we tried (and coffee too!)
1. Pho 24

I can't take the raw one. I just can't accept the taste of it ><
Best part: up to you to add how much for spices into your bowl of noodle

2. Ben Thanh Market

Operation time: 6am - 6pm / 7pm - 12 am

During the day
During the night
Different colour and flavor of glutinous rice! Nice but pricey!
Love their paper craft postcard. Brought one back xp

3. Road side stall

Experience it by eating like a local at the road side

4. Nha Hang Ngon (you can try a variety of Vietnamese dishes here if you have hygiene issue with road stall foods)

Address: 160, Pasteur Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Operation hours: 7.30am - 10.30pm
Price: 150, 000 - 200, 000 VND

If you don't know what to choose from the menu, you can have a look at their open kitchen. If you're interested with any dish of it, just order it from there

Nice dessert dish but the gravy was way too filling. Add on it's banana = satiety
Dessert drinks. Something like bubur cha cha
Vietnamese beer

7. Highland coffee

Bf wanted to try Banh Mi but after ordering it, he dislike it and I don't know why cause its just like bread just that instead of being soft, theirs are crispy texture

8.  Trung Nguyen Coffee

Love their coffee over Highland's

Shopping spree - Saigon Square (Don't forget to bargain!)

Operation time: 8am - 10pm
Location: 77-89, Nam Ky Koi Ngia Street, District 1 (Saigon Square 1)
7-9, Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1 (Saigon Square 2)

Sorry that I don't have any other nice picture of it xP
